What type of Jiu Jitsu is Aiuchi Jiu Jitsu? Aiuchi Jiu Jitsu is a traditional Japanese Jiu Jitsu (not to be mistaken with Brazilian Jiu Jitsu). Do I need special clothing? What should I wear? For your first few sessions you can wear track suit bottoms and a long-sleeve t-shirt. As you continue training, you will need a training suit, called a Gi. You can buy one from the club, or we can suggest websites where you can buy a suitable one yourself. For hygiene reasons, a pair of flip-flops or sandals will come in handy if you need to use the toilet.
What ages can train?
Children aged 6 to 13 (approx.) can train at the Juniors Session, Saturdays, 5:30 - 7:00pm Older children and Adults can train at the Seniors Session, Saturdays, 7:00pm - 8:30pm
How do I know my child will be safe? All instructors are DBS cleared and first-aid qualified. Parents are very welcome to stay in the café, or watch the session.
How much does it cost?
Each session is £4 per person, payment on attendance. Membership of Aiuchi Jiu Jitsu Association (providing insurance) is £2/month or £15/year for Juniors, £3/month or £25/year for Adults.
